\"Protest<\/p>\n

On 21 February 2025, the newspaper ECO reported that the number of strike notices fell by around 27% in 2024, after three consecutive years of increases, according to DGERT data.<\/p>\n

Among the political scientists interviewed, Tiago Carvalho, a researcher at CIES-Iscte, links this decline to the arrival of a new government and the start of a new political cycle, also pointing to the executive\u2019s greater willingness to negotiate with some sectors, such as teachers and the security forces.<\/p>\n
