On Wednesday, July 19, at 5 pm, a new session of the Seminar on Social Movements and Political Action will take place, with the theme “Repeated exposure and protest outcomes” with the participation of Ant\u00f3nio Valentim, Postdoctoral Associate at the MacMillan Center at Yale University.<\/p>\n

PhD in Political Science at the DYNAMICS graduate school, Humboldt University Berlin, in conjunction with the Hertie School, Ant\u00f3nio Valentim’s main research focus is environmental politics, especially two central questions: “when and why voters change their opinions and behaviours regarding climate change” and “how political incentives influence the behaviour of political elites regarding climate change”. To seek answers to these questions, Valentim investigates established democracies, drawing on causal inference methods in observational and geospatial data.<\/p>\n

With the organization of Guya Accornero and Tiago Carvalho, the Social Movements and Political Action Seminar takes place monthly and promotes a multidisciplinary reflection around the themes linked to social movements and different forms of political action, dialoguing different perspectives, methodologies and approaches.<\/p>\n
