Primary elections and the US political system
“Primary elections and the US political system” is the subject of a debate held by the PhD in Political Science, specializing in international relations, at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 6pm.
With the participation of José Gomes André, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, and moderation by André Freire, Full Professor at Iscte and Integrated Researcher at CIES-Iscte, the event is organized by CIES-Iscte in partnership with CEI-Iscte and the Observatory of Democracy and Political Representation.
José Gomes André, as well as being a Professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, is the author of several articles on federalism, in particular “The North American Political and Electoral System: a Roadmap” (included in “The Return of America”, by Viriato Soromenho-Marques, Esfera do Caos, 2008) and comments on issues related to the United States of America for the media. He is also the author of the book Reason and Liberty: The Political Thought of James Madison.
