The War in Ukraine, Russia, China and the construction of a new world order
Is there a new world order on the horizon? The current context involving the War in Ukraine and the role played by relevant players, such as China and Russia, bring up numerous challenges for understanding the current global geopolitics and presents the urgency of reviewing and updating concepts, in a world that is no longer limited to a bi- or unipolar world order. Therefore, the Doctorate in Political Science at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa will hold on Monday (17/4), at 6 pm, the conference «The War in Ukraine, Russia, China and the construction of a new world order».
The conference will be attended by Professors Jorge Tavares da Silva, Assistant Professor at UBI and Associate Researcher at GOVCOPP at the University of Aveiro, and Raquel Vaz Pinto, Invited Assistant Professor and Researcher at IPRI-NOVA-FCSH, who are important references in the discussion about the external policy, and, respectively, authors of books such as “BRICS and the New International Order (Kaleidoscope)” and “The Great Wall and the Legacy of Tiananmen, China and Human Rights (Ink-of-China)”.
