DESCRIPTION:André Freire Memorial Lecture (1961-2024)\nA pioneer of electoral studies in Portugal, André Freire was director of the Department of Political Science and of the undergraduate and doctoral programmes at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon, and a researcher at CIES-Iscte.\nHe devoted his work to electoral attitudes and behaviour, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire those who study democracy and political representation.\nThis session seeks to honour that legacy.
