DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday, May 28, at 11 a.m., in a hybrid format, the seminar “What’s democratic about innovations? Democratic innovations seen from below”, as part of the Seminar on Social Movements and Political Action ( https://cies.iscte-iul.pt/np4EN/183/ ). The event is organized by CIES-Iscte in partnership with ICS-ULisboa’s RIGoP Group, as part of the INCITE-DEM project ( https://incite-dem.eu/ ).\nThe seminar will feature the participation of Andrea Felicetti, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies at the University of Padua ( https://www.unipd.it/en/ ). With research on democratic theories, public spheres and governance, Felicetti is the author of Deliberative Democracy and Social Movements (2016, Rowman & Littlefield International) and co-author of Discursive Turns and Critical Junctures (2020, Oxford University Press).
