SUMMARY:“Stop Border Violence” – Strategic use of European citizenship, between theories and practices
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday, November 28, the “Stop Border Violence” workshop will be held at the Palácio Galveias Library in Lisbon, with free admission and online streaming via ZOOM ().\nDebating violence at the borders of the European Union and with the participation of activists and academics, the event will provide theoretical and methodological reflections on civil society initiatives and political contestation; share tools and synergies between researchers, activists and professionals; and present citizen initiatives to fight against border violence and for housing for all.\nThe workshop is part of the Social Movements and Political Action Seminar Cycle and is organized by Guya Accornero (CIES-ISCTE) , Tiago Carvalho (CIES-Iscte) and Francesca Fortarezza (Scuola Normale Superiore-Florence), in partnership with BLX-Biliotecas de Lisboa.
