Com investigações em torno da dimensão espacial e urbana da política, da democracia e da governação, Allegra é autor de artigos publicados em revistas como Political Geography, Citizenship Studies, Mediterranean Politics, The Geography Compass, Environment and Planning A, Urban Studies, International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Dialogues in Human Geography, Planning Theory and Practice, European Planning Studies.
